So Kaye Spencer and I made it to the Semi Finalist of the first annual Beepie awards and today they begin the voting for the top Breathless Press title.  Before I ask you to vote for me, let me tell you a bit about my book, Her Laird, Her Lover.

Scottish border lord Robert Shelley doesn't believe that the blind woman has the gift of knowing, and quickly learns that his suspicions are correct, but what he doesn't expect is the searing lust she ignites inside him.

Katie Stewart has been swept back into medieval times and has adjusted the best way she knows how—by conning her way into enough coins to survive. She's content with her life until a big Scotsman walks into her cottage and seizes her heart, making her want more than just his gifts and the occasional romp. Katie wants him—forever.

Her Laird, Her Lover has received rave reviews since publication

"Her Laird, Her Lover is a mini masterpiece…" – Reviews at eBook Addict

"…one smoking hot, quick read" – 5 Hearts, The Romance Studio

"…a nice read for a lazy afternoon, I'd give this book a slightly above average review…" – 7/10, Marc,  The Pen & Muse Book Reviews

"If you're like me and like shorter stories that pack a lot of punch this book would be a great choice." Rating 4 of 5, Book Binge

"characters jump off the pages and the situations and plot sing." – 17 out of 20, Seriously Reviewed

" I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for the second book in this series.  I give the story 3 1/2 Flaming Hearts." 3 1/2 hearts, Everybody Needs a Little Romance

Okay, so this is when I ask you to please go vote for my book, Her Laird, Her Lover.  You can vote at voting.breathlesspress.org/for…
I designed the cover for this book, the model is Jimmy Thomas.  I also designed the cover for Kaye's Spencer's book Gambling With Love with the same cover model.  Each person gets 10 votes to give out.  I would appreciate if you gave three to each of us.

Thanks so much!

Last week my computer crashed.  Well okay, it caught a virus THEN crashed.  It took several hours on Friday but we got it cleaned off, debugged, and reformatted.  Now I'm spending this week going through and trying to get everything back on track.  Not ignoring you guys or your messages...just have been trying to get things back to normal again.

If you want to vote for her Pump It Up photo it's on the 4th voting link:  jenna-rose.deviantart.com/jour…

The image is the one with the cutie kitten looking up out of a bucket.  The third photo down from the top.

I've been crazy swamped with work, writing, and editing the books that came out last month.  I have four new books that came out in August and two due for release in September.  (This will give me a total of 20 titles by the end of this month.)I'm also in the process of designing a new site for an author and working on adding more pre-designed cover art to my pre-designed cover art gallery here on Deviant Art.  And of course I'm juggling all of this between my work at Cobblestone Press and issues with family.  Needless to say, last month was a hectic one.

This month, I'll be joining my local history and genealogy group.  I'm really excited and I think I'll be designing a website for them by the end of this month.  I'm also considering joining the local art council.  I need to get involved more with my community and I feel these two groups are best suited for me and what I have to offer.

I've been doing ALOT of cover art for Cobblestone Press recently and am grateful that this month I'm able to send out assignments to other CP artists.  It really takes the pressure off when I can delegate a little...lol.

So that's the news with me right now.  Watch my pre-designed gallery for more covers to appear!

Today starts the first day of the Words in Motion conference - a free conference for readers and writers (and artists) of romance.  I'm doing a three day workshop for aspiring cover artists and at the end of the workshop on Sunday I will be evaluated all of those who participated in the workshop.  If I see an artist with great potential I'll offer an apprentice cover artist postion at Cobblestone Press!

I'll give lessons each day, give out some need to know information, show some videos, and will be doing some exercises and mock covers.  Some of the information articles include artist resources, an examination of the cover artist contract, and terms of the trade.

I'm having a great time piling all this information into my workshop forum!

You can come join us by signing up at the Mainstreet Forums (membership is free and keeps the spammers out):
www.cobblestone-mainstreet.com…

Then go to the Lamplighter Conference Center
www.cobblestone-mainstreet.com…
And pop on into the Words in Motion 2010 Conference

And I'll be hanging out in the Presebtations section :)
