An artist never sleeps....

Well I've been doing alot of work on my wacom. I can tell that I'm getting better with each new project I work on.

I'm also a member at Epilogue.com and have yet to do anything (including my photo manipulations) that hasn't been rejected by them. So I'm marking my progress there on each of my works here at deviant gallery until I reach my goal of haivng one acceptable by their standard.

I'm getting alot of great feeback at GFXArtist too and here at deviant that helps me better my technique. Thanks everyone!

As for my writing, I'm still moving forward but slowly. I had a book recently released at Cobblestone Press called Something Wild for our Octoberfest month - an erotic paranormal historical set during the Jack The Ripper murders. Louisa Gallie did the cover art for this book and its absolutely gorgeous!

We work with alot of great artists at Cobblestone and they constantly amaze me with their dedication and skill.

I will be adding more and more to my gallery here - I've dedicated myself to producing at least one new work a week. Now if I could get that dedicated with my writing!

I'm quietly envious of your painting, Sable

You're doing a fantastic job. It's something that I really need to be working on myself as well but I seem to set myself up for failure way before I even begin. You're inspiring me to give it a go

Oh wow. LOL That's so funny because I don't really think I'm all that good yet. I'm getting better but have such a long ways to go. I appreciate your kind words and it makes me feel good that maybe my projects give someone else an idea or two.

You know - my biggest problem with the painting is the patience. I'm sooo used to doing photo manipulation cover art (I can do one in half an hour) that doing these paintings really tests my patience. Once a project is finished I don't go back and do touch ups or correct things...because if I did I would mess it up somehow...lol

I think we just get so used to a certain way that we all set ourselves up a little when doing something different.

Well, you're certainly a loooong way ahead of me. I don't think I have a problem with the patience. It's more that little voice in my head that keeps chanting 'You can't do it .. you can't do it ...'

Whoever put that little voice in your head needs their ass kicked. I used to have that voice but when I started punching her in the face, she shut up *wink*
